Pay it FORWARD Softball PANTS | Softball is For Girls

It’s that time of year. You know, when parents start freaking out about how they are going to fill all the space underneath the Christmas tree!?! And if you have ballers, then a lot of the stuff they want is expensive.

Here’s the thing. When it comes to softball equipment it is often outgrown before its outworn. And this means that garages and empty basements etc. become collective gathering places otherwise known as softball graveyards.

In the past, we have done a Pay it FORWARD post, where people like you can run outside excitedly and say “HEY….I HAVE THIS TOO SMALL GLOVE OUT HERE, and MAYBE THERE IS A CUTE YOUNG GIRL who doesn’t think she knows everything yet, JUST STARTING OUT THAT WILL LOVE THIS!!!!!”

Or….You can say “OMG, I AM TOTALLY BROKE BECAUSE SOFTBALL AND LIFE and gah just everything…IS EXPENSIVE AND I JUST NEED A PAIR OF BLACK PANTS FOR MY KID AND I WONDER IF SOME KIND SOUL HAS A PAIR ATTRACTING MOTHS IN THE TOP OF THE CLOSET!” 

Or….you can be like most of us and say, “Wow, I would sure love to have that new batbag that guy has up there for my daughter this Christmas, but GAH….this is Facebook, and I don’t want a bunch of people knowing my business and thinking that I can’t afford a new batbag….”

Or you may just be anywhere in between. Or thrifty. Or looking to make someone happy!

But HERE, is the THING! (yes, there is always a thing)

We are all in this together.

One day you will need, and another day you will be able to give.

And it is a really good feeling no matter which side you are on. Plus, its just wasteful that there is such an abundance of nice equipment, and cleats, and pants, and gloves and bats and balls OH MY.…collecting dust from non-use!

And its the holidays.

And please note, we are just giving you a platform. The first two years we did this it went fantastically well. After that, Facebook got greedy and wanted to hide it from everyone unless we paid to post it. And we are broke softball parents too….
